Marley's available 2015!
For 2014 we have tried to come up with a solution for all our friends wanting coloured eggs but not able to have the prospect of male chicks. Marley's are our own creation of bird that will be sex linked for easy identification at hatch, will be black, blue or maybe even splash, and will have a rockin' hairdo!
Photos to come

Olive Eggers **Ameraucana x Marans NO LONGER AVAILABLE**
**Note: As of August, 2014 we have made the decision to no longer produce Ameraucana x Marans olive eggers. Sorry for the inconvenience!**
Olive eggers are a mix of ameraucana and a breed that lays dark eggs, such as welsummer or marans. For 2013 we have 5 pure bred ameraucana's (blue and black) who have been paired with our black copper marans roosters to provide the best possible chance of producing a nice bird that lays good, dark olive eggs.
This is a cross that produces birds that will likely lay olive colored eggs (the "olive" color can vary quite a bit between individual birds), though due to genetics they MAY lay blue or brown eggs. The olive egger hens and roosters can be quite a variety of colors and features. Some will have lightly feathered legs, some will be blue, black or other colors (as pictured below). A good indication that your chicken will lay olive colored eggs is if they have a pea comb and grey-black legs, though with this fun cross nothing is for sure!
This mix produces birds that are inquisitive and independent good layers of nice sized eggs. They are suitable for a small or colorful backyard flock, or to help contribute to a 'rainbow of eggs'.
Our olive eggers in 2014 will be F1 and F2, meaning we will have purebred ameraucana x marans to produce F1 generation olive eggers, but we will also have first generation olive eggers x marans to produce F2, or second generation, olive eggers. We will be using both to fill chick and egg orders.
